Personal Bio

An Established NE Native:

I come from a long line of original New England settlers over generations, and I have a sincere respect and love for the history of our beautiful region. I also know the pride and loyalty that is so deeply ingrained in our lineage here, as well as the blessings and challenges that follow our trails back in time. My spirit has always been called to the ocean, the arts, and of course the type of "natural living" lifestyle that is so wonderfully supported here! I am grateful to have the opportunity to experience all of these amazing benefits of being in Newburyport, and I look forward to learning about all of the incredible history that gives even more depth to each and every part of this great city.

Newer Community Member:

I am an original New Hampshirite who loved NH so much I chose to live within state lines my whole life. I was convinced I would always live in NH, and though I have worked in MA for 5 years, I never considered moving to MA; especially because of the traffic! Haha!

...Then I came to Newburyport for my business back in October 2016, and it was so incredibly comforting, it actually convinced me to cross the border and call it my NEW home.

There was just something special about this place, and the magical feeling I got from being here; I simply could not maintain living so far away. After 6 months of 1hr 40 minute daily commutes (6 days a week), this incredible city persuaded me to make my FINAL trek and officially become a resident as of June 2017.

My Goal in My New Community:

As a newer community member who has been so openly welcomed, I am genuinely invested in the health and happiness of my new home and the people in it! I know I was drawn here for reasons I continue to uncover daily, and I believe that everything happens with a divine plan. I am happily enjoying the journey along the way!

I am here to help this community, and all the people who are looking for a unique healing perspective they can be excited about! Since my opening, I am loving my work, and sharing all of the opportunities I provide for people to truly step into loving themselves and their life. ...And I can't wait to see what else is in store for the future!

Strength From Challenges

As a person who was diagnosed in grade 6 with ADHD, I know well the challenges and struggles that can come from having a "learning disability".

I grew up with the stigma worries of my parents, and struggled with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and had difficulty relating to my peers.

I didn't know how much having ADHD affected all parts of my life, and prior to treatment, I just felt I was doomed to failure.

Being very shy, I was always easily emotional, overwhelmed, and would shut down quickly with most mental tasks. Since ADHD causes disorganized thoughts, behaviors, and often needs extra time to process information, my struggles happened daily.  As a result, this made me an easy target for bullies in school, on the bus, and in other community activities.

As an "uncool kid" in middle-school, I remember how bleak life looked from where I stood, and it was such a helpless, sad, and overwhelmed feeling. ...Luckily, my story has a much happier outcome than I would have Ever predicted.

I was very fortunate to be raised by a very involved, aware, and dedicated family (despite typical family challenges and growth opportunities along the way!). My parents made sure that I got the proper supports and treatment that I needed to not only survive, but to truly thrive on my journey to adulthood!

Through the great special education system in my hometown, I learned the tools and strategies that I needed to keep my brain structured and on track, and successfully transition out of the entire special education system by graduate school. Beginning with an IEP in Public school, then shifting to a 504 Plan in my 4 year college, and eventually thrived (with only medication management in place) to the point of graduating with my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling, with a 4.0 GPA and a designation of High Distinction in my class.

From my personal experiences, I learned the importance of facing challenges with courage, to always try my best (even if things don't always turn out the way I planned), and never to give up hope of achieving my potential.

Today, I am passionate about teaching others how to do the same things in their own lives, and I am so honored to be given the opportunity to assist my clients in their own healing journey!
